This text offers an approach to change facilitation founded in the dynamic interplay between identity and action. Key to the proposed understanding of identity is Values. One of the core values presented in this approach is the Need for Congruence. This provides a model for a change dialogue which interprets action into values, exploring various action possibilities offered by these values as it does and providing a springboard for new action which preserves or sustains the need for congruence.
